Kevin Crossley, Edison LearningFinding ICT partners who understand the education market and provide creative ideas is extremely hard. Cleveratom are just what we needed and they have delivered some great solutions for us.
Cleveratom was established in 2006 and is a specialist company which aims to nurture creativity through the use of new and emerging technologies. We work with a range of organisations and explore opportunities for developing their learning environments and a major aspect of this is making sure there is a personalised approach to learning.
We can:
We advise on school design and how to maximise the use of technology, working extensively within the ‘Building Schools for the Future’ program. In helping schools and organisations understand the potential for incorporating the use of technology, we run workshops and training events which use digital creativity as a starting point. Within all of this we will build web based applications to support and extend the work we do, and better meet the needs of our clients.
In short, we articulate with our clients the possible ways forward, we run training sessions and workshops and demonstrate how this works, and we build innovative solutions to underpin the process.
Our present and past clients include:
What is your big challenge at the moment? Phone on 0845 868 9020 and we'll be happy to add some thoughts.
Construction of personalised learning software website (www.plip.me.uk) to engage pupils in the discussion of what makes effective learning for them. PLiP uses 'Spoke' software, which is also available for schools to use separately.
Technology vision and online community for a new and pioneering social and learning space called ‘RUGroom’. This project is for young people on the autistic spectrum. The online space uses the Thought Park learning environment.
Creating a professional network solution for all NHS workers across the East of England. Called Dialogue-East, it provides a specialised space for networking, communication and collaborative working.
Building ‘Learnometer’ software to help organisations and governments collect pupil voice and gauge if ICT investment is effective and heading in the right direction.
A toolkit designed to help public engagement practitioners in statutory and other organisations to engage effectively so that the public have a good quality, co-ordinated and interesting experience.
We worked with Becta to build the ‘designmyict.co.uk‘ website which is used by school stakeholders when ‘visioning’ the way ICT could be used in a new school as part of the BSF process.
The news stories on this site are pulled from the BBC news RSS feed and then read out loud by our cluster of BBC Microcomputers. We love Beebs and we wanted them to play a part in the modern web.
Creating a vision document and technology specifications for a new learning space for management teams - ‘Labzone’ - and opening the dialogue for how innovation in management can harness ‘Web 2.0′.
Evaluating the impact of BBC Blast for its first three years, and making recommendations for change over the coming three. Redesigning the vehicles used for the learning spaces and specifying the technology and infrastructure to make it all work.
Developing bespoke software to support schools who want to implement a personalised approach to learning by encouraging focussed dialogue between students and staff. Spoke allows different 'scenarios' to be set up, and different users to access them.
