Personalised Learning

Education is moving away from a ‘one size fits all’ approach and heading towards individual learners working collaboratively on pathways that are most appropriate to their needs. Personalised learning, assessment for learning, peer based learning and learner voice are ideas and initiatives that schools are getting to grips with.
We are able to help by supporting schools with staff training, workshops for students and of course through building bespoke software systems that enable schools to include systems to support personalised learning within their curriculum plans. This integrates with the development of a whole school approach to learning and developing a clear vision for the future.
We are already working with organisations who are implementing personalised approaches to learning, getting to understand what it is that the learner needs in order to learn best, and what it is the teacher needs to do to support and extend that. A good example of this is found in our work developing the PLiP tool (Personalised Learning in Practice) for Edison Schools.
We will work with you to help you develop your vision for learning using ICT, understand how technology can support personalised learning, design and run workshops and activities for your staff and students to explore approaches to learning, and create web based applications to help you realise your existing vision.
